I have been nominated for this award by another fabulous blogger, https://randombytesfromlife.wordpress.com last week and the challenge requires that i post it on a specific Monday; mine was set for today.
Pass the tour on up to four other bloggers.Give them the rules and a specific Monday to post.Answer four questions about your creative process which lets other bloggers and visitors know what inspires you to do what you do.Compose a one-time post on a specific Monday (date given from your nominator).
1. What I’m working on at the moment.
Currently i’m into several projects. The first is my two blogs, this and deenrepublic.wordpress.com, second is web content for our Islamic Centre’s website (iick.org) which is under maintenance at the moment and my first book. I have had to go a bit slow on the book as am trying to juggle a couple of responsibilities.
2. How my work differs from others in my genre.
I don’t think there is much difference from other bloggers, blogging and writing in most cases involve events that happen in one’s life and we more or less share the same stories. the only difference is the experience and perspective of the particular writer. In most instances you may read a story on another blog and it resonates with your own experience.
3. Why I write and create what I do.
I write because i love to and it’s something i never force out, it just flows with ease and i take it further by sharing it to the world. I write because its in writing that i lose and find myself at the same time, where i can be me in my own “wordy” world. I create my stories to give them a life of their own, to let the characters mingle in the world and blogosphere and interact with other characters. Doing so mutates the characters from individual to universla characters.
4. How my writing and creative process work.
Both of these processes work in me like, i donno, two peas in a pond maybe? I cannot detach one from the other, they are like Siamese twins. This is how it goes, an idea forms in my mind, perhaps from something as trivial as a word. The element of creativity steps in and moulds it, much the same way a potter would do, turning a lump of mud into a nice, beautiful pot. Writing brings out this mould into the world and after a few alterations sets it free to assume a life of its own.
i find my inspiration from anything, could be the full moon, a leaf falling, a child smiling. It gives me a lot of pleasure to create a story from something as simple as a child drooling 🙂
Now i nominate the following bloggers for the Blog Tour Award;
I assign the bloggers above to do the challenge on Monday 6th April 2015. All the best guys.
